We are an artist duo that would like to bring art closer to anyone interested in art, whether beginner or advanced, in a small circle and in beautiful, inspiring surroundings. We attach great importance to the mutual exchange between us and the participants, as well as among the participants themselves.

Margarit v. Pölnitz
Lives and works in Grünwald near Munich.
Studied in Paris at IPEDEC.
Afterwards she worked as a trompe-l'œil painter at home and abroad..
Margarit gives painting courses for children, young people and adults in her studio.
Since 2018 student of art therapy at the Freie Akademie München.
Since 2021 lecturer for youth art courses at the Roland Berger Foundation.

Achim ANDERS
Lives and works in Munich.
Studied graphic design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich.
Study seminar with the Zhou Brothers at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolbermoor.
Has been working as a freelance artist since 1990.
Since 2022 lecturer for youth art courses at the Roland Berger Foundation.
Exhibitions at home and abroad.
Achim gives individual courses in drawing and painting in his studio in Munich.

Course description

Margarit v. Pölnitz and Achim ANDERS would like to introduce art to anyone interested in art, whether beginner or advanced, in a small circle and in beautiful, inspiring surroundings.

You will learn the basics of painting or deepen your existing knowledge. Whether abstract or representational painting with different painting techniques (acrylic, mixed techniques, watercolour, etc.) we will find creative ways together. We want to work with you in a processual way. We give a lot of space to emotions, intuition and spontaneity so that moods can be transferred to the canvas. Likewise, we also work in a clearly structured way for participants in representational painting.
The individual needs of the participants will be specificallyaddressed. The seminar is suitable for all interested people with or without previous knowledge.
Course participants can be accompanied in French, English and German.
"Drawing is the art of taking strokes for a walk."
Learning to draw means learning to see, but learning to draw also means understanding that no one can tell you how something should look. Learning to draw also means learning to meditate, because drawing is also a kind of yoga.
You will learn the basics of drawing: seeing, recognising and grasping, finding the "characteristic" and realising it in a classical way or interpreting it freely.
You refine the plastic representation with hatching and lavur techniques. They deal with light and shadow as well as composition. What is important and what can be left out is put up for fundamental consideration and discussion.
Line - Hatching - Washing - Combined techniques - Experimenting
Special attention is given to: sharpening the view and finding one's own style. Developing the courage to dare something new in a relaxed atmosphere and the possibility to discover the feeling of inner freedom.
The individual needs of the participants will be specifically addressed. The seminar is suitable for all interested people with orwithout previous knowledge.
"Forms and colours are not beautiful in themselves, but those that are produced by the will of the soul. There is something secret that lies behind people and things and behind colours and frames, and that connects everything again with life and the meaningful appearance, that is the beauty I am looking for".
The human figure has been the focus of artistic interest since antiquity and has lost none of its appeal to this day. Whether the approach is naturalistic or abstract is up to each participant. In shaping the human figure, the course participants will practise on the model in initially short and later long nude poses to sharpen their eye for proportions and to develop their own style.
The seminar is suitable for all interested people with or withoutprevious knowledge.
